Our general corporate department handles advise, actioning and supporting functions.

Advise can pertain to a variety of subjects be it company law, foreign exchange law, securities law, stamp laws, sector specific laws. 

Actioning can encompass drafting operational agreements, obtaining regulatory approvals, issuing and responding to notices etc.

Supporting functions is linked to our M&A practice where the M&A team may require the general corporate team to review operational agreements, financing agreements.

  • Advising on company laws, securities laws, competition laws, foreign exchange laws, labour laws, sector specific laws, contract law, data laws, metrology laws etc.
  • Drafting operational agreements, franchise agreements, outsourcing agreements, assignment agreements, license agreements.
  • Reviewing and drafting resolutions.
  • Providing temporary registered and corporate offices.
  • Providing temporary directors and partners.
  • Obtaining basic registrations under direct and indirect tax, import export licences, shops (which includes office) registration.
  • Obtaining labour registrations where required.
  • Obtaining environment consents.
  • Compliance (including regulatory filings) with the provisions of the company law, limited liability partnership law, general partnership law, public trust laws, securities laws, competition laws and foreign exchange laws.
  • Labour laws and environmental laws compliances.
  • Assisting in registration with the SEBI for setting up of a fund / asset manager / investment advisor / portfolio management service.
  • Compliances in connection with the above.
  • Advising on items pertaining to anti-competitive agreements, abuse of dominant position and combinations (M&As)
  • Procuring approvals (including green channel) from the competition regulatory authority (CCI) where they are required.
